Your Rights Regarding Your Personal Information.

Right to request deletion of data - Deletion Request

You may request deletion of your personal information. If you ask us to delete your personal information, we will honor your request and delete your personal information subject to certain exceptions provided by law, such as (but not limited to) another consumer's exercise of his or her right to free speech, our compliance requirements arising from a legal obligation, or any processing that may be necessary to protect against unlawful activity.

Depending on the circumstances, you have the right to know:

  • the purposes for which the personal information collected is used;

We do not process consumers' sensitive personal information.

Verification Process

Upon receipt of your request, we will need to verify your identity to determine that you are the same person about whom we have information in our system. These verification efforts require that we ask you to provide information so that we can match it with information you have previously provided to us. For example, depending on the type of request you submit, we may ask you to provide certain information so that we can match the information you provide with information we already have on file, or we may contact you through a method of contact (such as a phone number or e-mail address) that you have previously provided to us. We may also use other verification methods as appropriate.

We will only use the personal information provided in your request to verify your identity or authorization to submit your request. To the extent possible, we will avoid requesting additional information from you for verification purposes. However, if we cannot verify your identity based on information we already have, we may request additional information from you to confirm your identity and for security or fraud prevention purposes. We will delete such additional information provided once we have completed your verification.

Verification Process

We may ask you for additional information reasonably necessary to verify you and your consumer's request. If you are submitting your request through an Authorized Agent, we may need to collect additional information to verify your identity before processing your request.

Upon receipt of your request, we will respond without undue delay, but in all cases within forty-five (45) days of receipt. The response period may be extended once for forty-five (45) additional days if reasonably necessary. We will notify you of any such extension within the initial forty-five (45) day response period, together with the reason for the extension.

Right to Appeal

If we refuse to act on your request, we will notify you of our decision and the reasons for it. If you wish to appeal our decision, please email us at info@tolkee.com . Within sixty (60) days after we receive the appeal, we will notify you in writing of any action taken or not taken in response to the appeal, including a written explanation of the reasons for the decisions. If your appeal is denied, you may contact the Attorney General to file a grievance.
